I had my undergrad education at the University of Hong Kong in structural and geotechnical engineering. After working in Hong Kong, I went to UC Berkeley for my M.S. in geotechnical earthquake engineering. Since then, I have been working at Geomatrix, in the earthquake group in the first 12 years and in the environmental group in the last 12 years. In addition to my industry practice, I also have concurrent appointments in academia. My current works are mostly related to water and natural hazards.
